Vanessa is originally from Southern California and has been fortunate enough to call Shanghai her home for the past 7 years. Her professional experience spans the hospitality, food & beverage, travel, sports and events industries. Vanessa is a consultant, entrepreneur, events professional and community builder. In the past 7 years, she has run over 150 global events, built multiple brands, helped launch a fitness application, a fashion line, helped produce 2 reality TV shows and started 2 online businesses. Her areas of expertise include event planning and execution, business development, project management, strategic partnership building, sponsorship sales, branding, online and offline marketing strategies, cross-cultural mentoring and talent development. Outside of her professional life, Vanessa is an active member International Professional Women’s Society and has served on their Board of Director for the past 4 years. She also devotes a lot of her time to charitable causes and events such as Chi Fan for Charity, Mentor Walks and the World Academy for the Future of Women. Vanessa holds a Master’s degree in International Business from Hult International Business School and speaks intermediate Mandarin and Spanish. She is passionate about traveling to discover new cultures, developing businesses and communities and taking an active role to motivate people around a common goal.
