I have a 5 years old Pomeranian (Rocky). When I lived to Shanghai I also bought Rocky with me. I trained Rocky since he was a puppy and he is friendly with kids and other strangers.
I also trained him potty in correct areas of the home and some advanced commands. Like roll over, sit and wait at the lights, calm him down from fighting other dogs while walking, stop leash pulling.
